The Beginning
In November of 1977, Ward North American began with a staff of employees that would become a "Standard Bearer of the moving & storage industry".
Our President
Kevin Ankenbauer, President and Chairman of the Board of the Ward family of terminals, was key to the decision to transfer the headquarters of the company to San Antonio, Texas. It would be correct to perceive Kevin as the cornerstone for the entire Ward family of companies. His vision leads the successful growth of these companies into the 21st century.
Corporate Structure
The Ward group of companies is composed of five separate corporations; each serving a unique function within the company's broadly based operations. The first of these operates as Ward North American. It is this name that is by far and away the most recognized name amongst Ward customers.
The Competition
The leadership of the Ward group has taken a different approach to the service it would provide. Over a period of eleven years, with nothing short of tireless determination, a dramatic change was made. Over that period of time the pendulum swung dramatically so that today Ward North American can easily claim to be the premier mover in all of south and central Texas. The trade name Ward North American consistently ranks among the top local moving and storage companies in terms of brand recognition and customer satisfaction.
The Management Staff
The management staff of Ward North American consists of a select group of employees chosen for their leadership skill, willingness to make decisions, ability to follow company policies and procedures, and the responsibility of corporate excellence.
In an industry with a reputation for high turnover, the administration of Ward North American has an average of over ten years of direct experience. Many of these administrative staff members have worked their way up from the bottom, gaining proficiency in many areas of household goods moving operations.
